Like all good stories, it starts at the end - happily ever after. The girl gets the guy, the fish gets the sauce. They’re amazing together. Sauce and fish - the dynamic duo - have rescued many a troubled tea-time. We’ve united the world in a love of saucy fish. Well, almost.
WANT TO KNOW HOW?
We combined and conquered!
It’s sauce and fish without the fuss, fantastic flavour without the hard labour.
Before The Saucy Fish Co blazed a trail through the chiller aisles, it was a sea of blandness. It was hard work just buying fish, never mind cooking it. Which is a shame, since most people really rather like eating it.
We said to hell with ‘meh’ and ‘hmm’… let’s go for ‘wow’. Let’s brighten up the weekly shop and lighten the load on whoever’s cooking. Let’s make fish that looks good, cooks good and tastes great.
IT WASN'T PLAIN SAILING
From our little home in Grimsby, we put our chefs to work - scouring the world for the right fish and flavour pairings to tickle your taste buds. But by George, they cracked it! Check out this lot. Perfect pairings, expertly-prepared.
And it doesn’t end there, we’re always looking for new and beautiful combinations to tempt and treat you with.
WANT TO KNOW WHY?
Because the fish comes first. We care about our craft. We‘re passionate about our product, and all the things that go into it.
We love fish, and we want everyone to have the chance to enjoy it. Not just you lot, the next generation too.
There may be plenty more fish in the sea, but if we want to keep eating the tasty ones, we have to get serious.
So we’re really clear about where our fish comes from and how it’s caught. For example our cod fillets come from the North Atlantic, Salmon from Norway or Scotland, and fresh Tuna from the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
All our farmed fish is sourced from farms that have been certified to an independent standard and checked by our own rigorous criteria.
And we’re taking collective responsibility with the wider fish industry. We are founder members of the Sustainable Seafood Coalition, which brings together retailers and brands to agree common responsible fish buying and labelling approach.
Fish is a really important natural resource and a vital part of the economy for lots of communities, and we want to make sure they’re properly rewarded now for keeping it that way. So we work closely with the Marine Stewardship Council and The Sustainable Fisheries Partnership in support of long term sustainability projects around the world.
Sourced responsibly; combined beautifully; cooked effortlessly; eaten ravenously. That’s us, from head to tail.
But if you want to know more, just drop us a line. We don’t bite.
